From Katrina Siverts, Publisher of the Senior News & Desert News Post
Each month in the Desert News Post and Senior News, I write this little column about what’s happening in our area. Since I am always “out and about” in the community, I’m sure you’ve seen me somewhere. I can’t tell you how many times someone will come up to me and say “I know you!”
Needless to say, I have a lot of fun attending the ribbon cuttings, events and mixers of our local businesses. You’ll see me with a camera hanging around my neck, and I hope you allow me to take your picture, and possibly give you some publicity!
Let’s get down to brass tacks. All of this fun isn’t possible unless we have advertisers willing to support our business.
Of course you want results from your promotional spending, and that’s what we want for you. We keep our rates reasonable to so that you can maintain a long-term advertising program. You can reach several targeted markets for just pennies per copy, a real bargain when compared to printing and publishing your own individual flyers or brochures.
The Senior News is in it’s 17th year, published monthly, and geared towards reaching active adults, from baby boomers to senior citizens who still keep busy and are thriving locally.
The Desert News Post, in it’s 4th year of publishing, is focused on real estate and business in the High Desert and also features news items from throughout San Bernardino county. If you want to know what’s going on in our area, read this weekly newspaper.
Get some name recognition for your business, and help get the word out about local non-profit organizations with your ad budget. We cover walkathons, galas, expos, conferences, and much more.
Sometimes you’ll find great articles on some of our local businesses. With 1/4 page ad or larger, I will personally visit your establishment, take photos and write a short story describing what you offer. I like to get a feel for your products, services and people.
Each month we interview a prominent business person, and also highlight an exceptional local business.
See you out and about!
